Medicine Centers
This program began in May 2003 and identifies potential First Aid Officers living in remote villages removed from a local hospital. These people are then provided with basic training in health care and counseling. After the training, the First Aid Officers are equipped with a first aid kit for their village and return to put into practice what they have learned. The program also provides follow-up training and ongoing professional development, support and encouragement.
